Scottrade Elite - July 2, 2008
I was just wondering if Scottrade Elite would eventually be able to run on a Mac. I know currently the system requirements are for a Window based PC. Just interested if any thought was given to developing a Mac. version. Thanks
ScottradeELITE and Mac - July 21, 2008
Currently Scottrade has no plans to create a version of ELITE specific to Macintosh. ScottradeELITE will run correctly on all Intel-based Macs after a little bit of initial setup. Macintosh users who want to run ScottradeELITE will need either Parallels or Boot Camp, programs which are designed to run both a Mac operating system and a Windows operating system on the same computer. Mac clients would also need to purchase a legitimate copy of a Windows Operating system, preferably either Windows Vista or Windows XP. Once you have a dual boot set up, you can choose to operate in a Windows environment at startup. This allows you to run ScottradeELITE and any other Windows-based programs while in that environment.
What's up Deuxd? - January 14, 2010
First of all, I love Elite! Second, I can't practice trading options on Virtual Account because I'm not set up for options......that kind of blows.
and while I'm at it - January 14, 2010
It would have been cool if the symbols in the symbol lists were already there and then I could choose which ones I wanted to display...or maybe sub-sector tabs going down the side of my quote grid for fast searching. And you know what else would be cool, if I could move symbols up and down within the quote grid on the fly, or highlighting certain ones with different colors like blue for Tires, green for Reits, yellow for Containers&Packaging etc. Also, I'd like to see all the research stuff inside Elite without having to open the browser, or as a short cut.. being able to lock the browser open in a layout and be able to save that layout or in multiple layouts. It might be nice to have commissions listed as a header in "positions" also. Oh, maybe to reduce space, instead of having bid size and ask size you could just have one tab that was (bid X ask)
